The Mystic Krewe of Barkus rolled Sunday afternoon in the French Quarter. This year’s parade theme was “Bark Wars: Return of the K9.”
Many of the krewe members chose Star Wars costumes while others chose other ways to celebrate their pets.
Krewe members said this year’s crowd may have been the largest ever. They were especially grateful for the sunny weather since last year they marched in a heavy downpour and along an abbreviated route.
