NEW ORLEANS — An 18-wheeler is stuck in the Irish Channel, possibly in a pothole that appeared in the neighborhood after the city fixed a leaking pipe under the street.
Residents who live in the area of Third and Laurel, where the semi is sitting, say the big rig has been stuck there for at least a few hours.
Other witnesses say it appears the semi hit the tree, causing the truck to buckle. Then, the part of the truck that buckled landed in a pothole.
There’s no telling when this mess will be resolved, so avoid the area if possible.
