NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – New Orleans’ beloved all-male dance team, the 610 Stompers, will hold its 2016 auditions on Saturday, Aug. 13, and Sunday, Aug. 14, at Harrah’s Casino on Canal Street.

Registration opens at 11 a.m. on both days, and auditions will last until 7 p.m. Auditions are open to all men ages 21 and older.

The public is invited to watch the auditions for a $10 donation.

Round 1 auditions will comprise 50 dancers each day. Available spots are on a first come, first serve basis. Numbers 1-50 will be assigned upon arrival.

If participants don’t make it in that day, they are encouraged to try again the next day. Participants must register and audition on the same day.

Once registered, all applicants will be given ample time to learn a new dance routine and must be able to answer a few questions by the Simon Cowell-esque judges.

Chosen participants will be offered a slot in the callbacks on Sunday, Aug. 21 from 11 a.m. -7 p.m.

The 610 Stompers are a nonprofit. As such, the Stompers perform in dozens of events hosted by non-profits throughout the year.

Aside from showing off dancing skills, potential Stompers should strive to be altruistic and be ready to donate time to fans.

The 610 Stompers were born in the summer of 2009 as the Saints began their march to the Super Bowl.
