NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The FBI New Orleans Division is asking residents: “If you see something, say something”. They’re going to start handing out flyers with that slogan Thursday.

They’re encouraging people to report suspicious activity to help cut down on crime this Mardi Gras season.

The local FBI will also be working with state police, NOPD and the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.

Call 9-1-1 if it’s an emergency.

They also have a tip-line: 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324).

You can also download an app called “See Send”. It downloads quickly.

You put in some basic profile information, then you can send photos or notes to law enforcement.

We have a crew covering the press conference, they’ll post more details online later. See their full report on-air later today.
