Hammond, La. -(WGNO)- The Hammond Police department says they arrested three people on drug and gun charges after a fire at a home on Sunday.

The Hammond Fire Department responded to a call of a vehicle and structure fire around 9:00 p.m. Sunday night.

Upon arrival, Police say that firefighters found two vehicles that were parked under the carport of the residence on fire.

After controlling the fire, they say the firefighters observed what appeared to be marijuana inside the home along with a firearm.

The Narcotics Division of the Hammond Police Department was called to the scene.

Officers seized over three pounds of high-grade marijuana, approximately 34 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy), hallucinogenic substance mushrooms, and a Glock 9mm handgun. The total street value of the illegal narcotics seized is approximately $12,000.

Three suspects were also arrested, including Keena Ross Harrison, 24 years old of Hammond, Kristopher Jerard Johnson, 24 years old of Baton Rouge, and Kenneth Robinson, 24 years old of Hammond for various charges including, Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
