New Orleans, La. -(WGNO)- Dwayne  “Butter” Winins, a person of interest in a rash of Uptown restaurant robberies turned himself in to NOPD Detectives on Monday.

Winins, 21,  was arrested on an Accessory to Second Degree Murder charge after being indicted on Thursday for his alleged role in the May 11th murder of 30-year-old Harold Martin.

Winins is believed to have helped one of the alleged shooters in the Martin murder, Wesley Davis, avoid capture.

Detectives say that they also believe that Winins has critical information regarding the recent rash of Uptown restaurant armed robberies… But he is  not a suspect at this time.
