NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Just in time for Halloween. Scuba divers in New Orleans show how to create a jack-o’-lantern. And they’re doing it, underwater!
WGNO News with a Twist features reporter Wild Bill Wood has the story from New Orleans Audubon Aquarium of the Americas where you, too, can watch divers become Picassos with pumpkins.
Here’s the Halloween schedule at Audubon Aquarium for Saturday, October 31, 2015, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m:
- Children trick-or-treating throughout the Aquarium (2 p.m. – 4 p.m.)
- Underwater pumpkin carving by the Aquarium’s divers (10 a.m. & 3 p.m.)
- Marine animal costume contest on the second floor (11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.)
- Decorations throughout the Aquarium animal habitats
- “Creepy Critters” educational creature features
- Halloween-themed enrichment for penguins, otter and parakeets.
$3 admission discount for guests in costumes
